With 27 years in the industry and 14 years as a licensed advisor, Kelly Lawrence, Managing Director, Investment Manager of Gibson Financial Group's path began at just 16 years old, working summers at Janney Montgomery Scott's Norwell branch alongside her father. It was there, under his guidance, that she discovered her calling—one that would shape not only her career but her entire approach to client relationships. "My dad was my partner, my teacher, and my mentor in all things in this industry," Kelly reflects. That foundation of transparency, education, and genuine care for clients became the cornerstone of her own practice.

A proud graduate of Bridgewater State College, Kelly earned her B.A. in Communications with a minor in History. Her commitment to excellence and client growth has earned respect among her clients.

Kelly's approach is refreshingly straightforward: "I love helping people, and I am a people person, I enjoy meeting people and seeing how I can help them." Kelly works with a diverse group of individuals coming from various working backgrounds; everything from teachers and police officers, to lawyers and high-level corporate executives. Her methodology centers on partnership. "It is a team approach," Kelly explains. "I want to be on the same side as the client and I want them to view me as being on the same team with the same end goal: achieving their financial goals." This collaborative spirit ensures clients feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.

When it comes to financial advice, Kelly balances practicality with perspective: "You need to save for life's expected and unexpected events, but you also can't forget to live." It's this wisdom—understanding that financial planning should aim to enhance life, not restrict it—that resonates with her clients.

Kelly's recent move to LPL Financial reflects her commitment to providing the best possible service to her clients. "When looking at LPL, it was important to me that they were a solid, established firm with many resources. I liked the large size of the firm as it took away the fear of being sold off to another company and having no control of where me and my clients landed," she shares. Independence excites her because it provides "an opportunity to reorganize my client base and reprioritize different parts of my business, like bringing in a junior partner eventually and continuing to build my business."

A lifelong resident of Norwell, Massachusetts, Kelly lives in the same community where she grew up. She shares her life with her husband, David, and their 1-year-old daughter, Estelle "Stella." When she's not helping clients navigate their financial futures, you'll find Kelly pursuing her passions: reading, gardening, boating, cooking, and walking her two beloved dogs, Winnie (an Aussiedoodle) and Bernie (a Bernedoodle). Kelly's roots in Norwell run deep, and her connection to community, family, and the people she serves is evident in everything she does. She brings the same care and attention to her clients' financial well-being that she learned from her father years ago—and that makes all the difference.
